Description

Abstract: Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) initiated a project in 1998 to monitor the trend in abundance and distribution of juvenile coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) rearing in Oregon coastal streams.

Purpose: This report summarizes annual monitoring results of the abundance and distribution of juvenile salmonids in streams of western Oregon in 2006 by the Western Oregon Rearing Project, in support of the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds.
