Willamette Biological Opinion Project (WBOP)

The Willamette Hatcheries Biological Opinion Project was created in 2002 in response to the National Marin Fisheries Service Biological Opinion on US Army Corps of Engineers funded  hatcheries the Willamette Valley operated by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.  Project activities fall into four broad categories: 1) removing hatchery adult Chinook at Leaburg Dam, 2) sampling hatchery returns 3) monitoring natural production , and 4) creel surveys.
