Description

Abstract: Hoop smolt traps were deployed to four small tributaries of the lower Elk and Sixes Rivers in spring 2012 to evaluate fish usage of prominent backwater habitat. The traps were ran for 1-4 weeks to develop a better understanding of the timing of outmigration.

Purpose: To monitor usage associated with past restoration projects, and to develop baseline information for future restoration projects.

Time Period of Content: Spring 2012

Geographic Extent: Lower Sixes River tributaries (Greene and Sullivan Gulch Creeks) and lower Elk River tributaries (Cedar and Swamp Creeks)
