Description
- Abstract: The Oregon pink shrimp fishery depends on Virtual Population Analysis (VPA) to form a Virtual Population Estimate (VPE) for appropriate management. Two key metrics are incorporated into each VPE, 1) abundance (pounds of shrimp caught in each area) and 2) catch composition (size and age of shrimp by each month and area). This data describes the catch composition by year of shrimp biological sampling. These data are raw, to allow flexible analysis. Previous data published by Zirges, then Hannah/Jones shows summaries from time periods.
These data are regarding the pink shrimp delivered into Oregon ports in 2016.
-
- Purpose: This data is the catch composition side used to assess the stock of pink shrimp.
