Abstract: The statistics presented in this publication provide information on the amount and value of commercial food fish landings in the State of Oregon in 1981. This information is frequently requested by various government, industry, or private user groups for resource management, marketing, land use planning, or other needs. We have not attempted to explain management objectives, harvest methods, or trends in the commercial fisheries. The joint efforts of many persons were required to assemble this material-the commercial fishing industry, wholesale fish dealers, and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel. Department biologists reviewed the accuracy of the reported information and data processing personnel spent many hours editing and entering the information for computer tabulation. To all of these people we extend our thanks. NOTE Subsequent to the May 1982 publishing of this report, it was discovered that there were errors in the amount of pounds reported for three species: scallops, rockfish, and Pacific ocean perch. Also, some minor errors were noted for other species as a result of miscoded species, duplicate fish tickets, and late tickets. Because of these errors, this report was revised and republished. Nearly all tables in this revised edition reflect a change from the original published version. Species for which corrections were made to poundage landed are designated with an asterisk in Table 3.
