Description

Abstract: At Astoria the troller "Virlou" was chartered tor eight days by Harry Schachter and myself to tag as many small salmon as possible. A total of 190 silvers and three chinook salmon were tagged during five days of fishing, the other three days being too rough to fish. Observations were made as to the length of the fish when it was tagged, condition, locality, etc. Stomachs and scales of the dead fish were kept and weights before and after dressing were taken.
