Description
- Abstract: The Curry Watersheds Partnership deployed juvenile smolt traps (hoop traps) on two tributaries to the lower Rogue River in 2015, and on a tributary to the Sixes River estuary in 2017. This report summarizes those efforts and provides the trapping data.
-
- Purpose: The Hoop Traps were deployed on the lower Rogue River tributaries (Ranch and Edson creeks) to develop a better understanding of juvenile salmonid overwintering in these low gradient streams. A trap was deployed to the Sixes River tributary (Sullivan Gulch) to evaluate the effectiveness of a stream channel-wetland reconstruction project.
