Abstract: As you probably know, the ODFW Shellfish Program produces a Pink Shrimp section for the Marine Region Newsletter once every two months during the shrimp season. The newsletter reports sampling results and notes significant events, usually for the preceding month. This year we'd like to expand these efforts in order to give you a more complete picture of the fishery. We will try to put out a short memo like this prior to the beginning of each season. This memo contains data summaries and a brief discussion of the preceding season. The summaries are derived from logbook data supplied to us by fishermen, from the market samples we collect at the dock, and from landing tickets supplied by processors.

Purpose: Fishery data from the 1989 season (title in the subject line of the pdf file). The title of the newsletter (memo) in the attached pdf is different than what is presented here. The title was changed slightly to maintain consistency, searchability, and match the newsletters starting in the year 2000 to the present.
