Description

Abstract: The data summaries presented in this report extend the time series of Oregon commercial pink shrimp data produced by Saelens and Zirges (1985). Detailed statistics on pounds landed, effort, age composition, count per pound, and sex composition of shrimp landed in Oregon are presented for each year from 1985 through 1989. Longterm landing statistics are presented from Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, and California. Longterm effort statistics are presented from California and Washington. Changes and conditions which occurred in the pink shrimp fishery from 1985 through 1989 were described and discussed by Jones and Hannah (1992).
