Description

Abstract: In 2002, we conducted the third annual ROV survey at Cape Perpetua Reef and a second ROV survey at Siletz Reef. This report summarizes work at Siletz Reef. Also in 2002, under a companion grant, we conducted a sidescan sonar survey of Siletz Reef. The resulting map facilitated the sampling design of this study’s ROV survey. In 2003 we will contract a high-resolution multi-beam sonar survey of Siletz Reef. Habitat information collected in the ROV survey will aid in ground-truthing the multibeam sonar data.
