Abstract: This report supplements an earlier report (Demory and Bailey 1967) of data collected under a market sampling program by the Oregon Fish Commission since 1948. Data are limited to Pacific Marine Fisheries Commission Area 2D (Figure l). There are three reasons for this: (1) Astoria is the major port of landing for Dover sole (Microstomas pacificus) (2) the Astoria fleet expends little effort on Dover sole outside PMFG Area 2D and (3) Astoria is the location of research personnel The data cover only the period from June through September of each year. Data were tabulated to the nearest lower centimeter even though some data were recorded by millimeter and one-half' centimeter intervals. Thus 0 mean lengths shown are estimates of mean length at the half centimeter interval. Age determinations for years 1948 and 1951=56 were made from otoliths. Age determinations for years 1957-65 were made from scales. Tables l=.32, show by year and sex the age=length-frequency distribution of Dover sole landed from PMFC Area 2D.
