Description
- Abstract: Data on total catch (lb), fishing effort (single-rig-equivalent-hours, sreh) and catch-per-unit-effort (CPUE, lb/sreh) are summarized annually for Oregon’s ocean shrimp (Pandalus jordani) trawl fishery. Since 1989, these data have also been published in graphical summary form in ODFW’s newsletter entitled the Annual Pink Shrimp Review, which is distributed to all shrimp fishery limited entry permit holders and other interested parties. The purpose of this report is to document in tabular format the time series data on catch, effort and CPUE that are used to develop the annual newsletter. An additional objective is to summarize and document the history of the methods used to develop the annual estimates of catch, effort and CPUE by state statistical area (Figure 1).
