Abstract: This document is arranged to provide the following pieces in this order: 1)an introduction to the Heads of Tide assessment area, 2)an introduction to each of the components that were surveyed or incorporated into the assessment, 3)presentation of assessment data in figures, charts and graphs, 4)presentation of non-point source pollution control opportunities for reducing upland sediment and stream temperature, 5)appendices of supplemental information regarding survey methods, benchmark standards, and channel morphology data.

Purpose: The purpose of the assessment is to document current watershed conditions and recommend potential restoration actions related to stream temperature reduction and road-related sediment control. The long-range goal of these efforts is the rehabilitation of salmon habitat and water quality improvement.

Time Period of Content: 2002-2005

Geographic Extent: SF Coos and Millicoma River tribs: Bridges, Mart Davis, Deton, Caroline Bar, Packard, Straw Gulch, Hendrickson, Rogers, Bessey, Woodruff, McKnight, Salmon, and Dellwood Trib Creeks
