Abstract: These short reports are intended to inform the public, industry, and other interested parties of the current studies of the Commission's staff and the basis for conservation measures. Reports will be published from time to time when studies are sufficiently complete to provide reliable biological evidence for conclusions upon which regulations are based. Research Briefs are free and may be obtained upon request from the Fish Commission office.

Purpose: Contains the following: Present State of the Bay Clams of Oregon. Oregon Pilchard Fishery. Salmon Catch by the Sport Fishery on Certain Coastal Rivers, 1947. Spawning Ground Studies of Willamette River Spring Chinook Salmon. Trends of Columbia River Blueback Salmon Populations, 1938-1947.
