- Abstract: Harney-Malheur Lakes Subbasin Assessment was completed by the Harney County Watershed Council. The Harney-Malheur Lakes Subbasin is 894,061 acres in Harney County, Oregon. The document discusses the history of the Harney-Malheur Lakes Subbasin including the environmental factors associated withthe subbasin (climate, geology, hydrology, ground and surface water and water supply. Fish and wildlife, habitat and vegetation types are discussed to understand the main inhabitants and how best to manage those populations found in the subbasin. The last section of the document discusses current issues within the subbasin and the reccomendations to deal with those issues.
