Abstract: The 2000 Silves Subbasin Assessment was completed by the Harney County Watershed Council. The subbasin is approximately 844,976 acres in Harney and Grant County, Oregon. The document first gives a description of the subbasin and its climate, geology, hydrology and water supply. Second it discusses the fish, wildlife, habitat and the conditions of the steams in the subbasin. The document then discusses the current issues in the subbasin and offers reccommendations for managment to ensure the highest ecological potential for the subbasin and to accomplish the goals of the Harney County Watershed Council.
