Description

Abstract: Rapid bio-assessment juvenile snorkel surveys were completed in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2013 as part of a long term data set on the mainstem of Euchre Creek. The 2005 survey captured pre-implementation conditions on a large wood placement project reach. The results of these surveys are summarized in the attached report.

Purpose: The primary purpose of the surveys is to evaluate the effect of the wood placements on the summer juvenile populations. In addition, the surveys also provide insight into the species of salmonid that are using these streams, and the data may also be used to demonstrate how the cumulative impact of comprehensive watershed restoration is benefiting the native salmonid populations
