Abstract: This report discusses the Nehalem Estuary. Topics include wetland systems, estuarine subsystems, habitat classes, critical estuarine habitat, salmonid use of estuary, current conditions, protection of wetlands and estuary, and estuarine management units.

Purpose: The Lower Nehalem Watershed Council desired to look at several issues in more detail than it was possible in the PSU assessment. The Nehalem Estuary is one of these issues.
