Abstract: The Lower Nehalem Watershed Council has looked at several issues in more detail than was possible in the PSU assessment. This document on hydrology and flooding is one of those issues that the watershed council has looked at more closely. Document sections include background information including the 1996 flood, flood history, flood damage control, hydraulic models, flood alternatives for the Nehalem Basin, and Criteria for Evaluating Alternate Flood Control Projects.

Purpose: The purpose is to further investigate and study flooding in the Tillamook county area.
