- Abstract: Flooding history on the Applegate River is reviewed. Pre- and post- settlement conditions are compared, and the consequences of human changes to the flood plain are analyzed. The report addresses hydrologic conditions, historical conditions, channel characteristics, effects of damming, role of levees, and episodic channel change. Summary, implications, and recommendations are offered.
