Description

Abstract: This document lays out goals and planning to address elevated stream temperatures in the Walla Walla subbasin in Oregon. The first part establishes the Total Maximum Daily Load as required by Section 303(d) of the federal Clean Water Act for streams whose quality has been compromised by pollutants or high temperatures. The second part, the Water Quality Management Plan, lays out specific guidelines for attaining the goals of the TMDL. The third part of this document is an extensive analysis of stream temperatures which addresses the vegetation, hydrology, and morphology of the Walla Walla subbasin.
