Abstract: The EMDS model for defining ecosystem health at the basin level was applied to the Applegate River sub-basin, as the first of numerous applications planned for the Rogue River watershed. This report describes the application of this model to the Applegate, detailing aspects of water, fire risks, woody debris, riparian vegetation, shade, and channel morphology. It offers conclusions and recommendations.
