Description
- Abstract: The Coquille River system is comparable to some of the better coastal streams in terms of angling success for salmon and steelhead. For catch success by anglers, the winter steelhead fishery ranks as one of the best in the State and near the top for fall salmon. The Coquille River also supports active fisheries for sea-run cutthroat trout in and near tidewater and resident trout in the upper reaches. There is also a growing sport fishery for shad.
