Abstract: The Habitat Protection Policies and Standards collected in this document are intended to provide guidance to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife employees. It is a working and evolving document that responds to changing laws, habitat conditions, social and political attitudes, and increased knowledge. The Habitat Conservation Division of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife developed these habitat protection policies and standards using intra-agency task forces comprised of experts from throughout the state. Those policies and standards that significantly affect the public interest have been or will be developed into administrative rules through a public review and comment process.
