- Abstract: The species population addressed in this document is the Columbia River
Bull Trout Distinct Population Segment (DPS), which is under the jurisdiction of the U.S.Fish and Wildlife Service. - Purpose: The purpose of this Biological Assessment (BA) is to address the effects of the Lake Creek Restoration Project on Columbia River Bull Trout (Salvelinus confluentus), which is listed as threatened under the Federal Endangered Species Act of 1973. Restoration activities will include wetland creation, removal of an artificial in-channel pond, keying in significant numbers of whole trees, installing boulders, and replacing a small access bridge.
