Description
- Abstract: The Watershed Restoration Summaries were developed by local watershed councils and other
stakeholders to help identify priorities for restoring fish and wildlife habitat and water quality
throughout the Willamette Basin. These summaries outline aquatic and terrestrial restoration priorities and geographic focus areas within three major themes: 1) Restoration of habitat connectivity (e.g., fish passage and wildlife corridors); 2) Restoration of key watershed processes and functions (e.g., large wood delivery, water flows, sediment transport, and disturbance regimes); and 3) Restoration of aquatic, riparian, wetland, and upland habitats, including addressing
habitats for ESA-listed species and areas that impact water quality. Watersheds included: Scappoose Bay, Columbia Slough, Lower Willamette, Johnson, Tryon, Fanno Creeks, Clackamas, Tualatin, Yamhill & Chehalem, Molalla, Pudding, Glenn-Gibson, Greater Salem-Keizer Area, Rickreall, Santiam, Luckiamute, Calapooia, Mary's, Long Tom, McKenzie, Coast Fork Willamette, Middle Fork Willamette, Middle & Upper Willamette.
-
- Purpose: These summaries will assist OWEB in selecting projects for voluntary restoration actions, mostly on private lands.
