Abstract: The assessment contains chapters on: Historical Conditions, Channel Habitat Typing, Hydrology and Water Use, Riparian, Wetlands, Sediment Sources, Channel Modifications, Water Quality, Fish and Fish Habitat. Each chapter is organized by the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Confidence Evaluation, Recommendations and Restoration Opportunities. Sections on Existing Data and Baseline Conditions, Summary of Watershed Condition, Summary of Recommendations and Data Gaps, and Preservation and Restoration Opportunities are also included.

Purpose: This Watershed Assessment has been prepared for the Klamath Basin Ecosystem Foundation (KBEF), the Upper Williamson River Catchment Group, and the people that live and work in the upper Williamson River subbasin. The purpose of this Assessment is to characterize the historical and existing conditions within the subbasin and to provide a broad foundation for effective ecosystem restoration. By compiling existing information on the subbasin, this Assessment is intended to reveal research needs and potential data gaps. And with this evaluation of the overall health of the subbasin, the community can identify and prioritize restoration opportunities to improve environmental conditions within the subbasin.

Geographic Extent: The upper Williamson River subbasin is located in south central Oregon along the eastern flank of the southern Cascades, almost entirely in Klamath County
