The new law created an incentive-based program to improve public hunting access and wildlife habitat on private lands in Oregon.The program\u2019s motto,\u201cLandowners &amp; Hunters Together for Wildlife,\u201d conveys the program\u2019s basic mission to foster partnerships between landowners and hunters for the benefit of the wildlife they value. The program also seeks to recognize and encourage the important contributions made by landowners to the state\u2019s wildlife resource. Many of the Access and Habitat Program properties do not require permission to hunt. These \"Welcome to Hunt\" properties are all posted on ODFW's Hunting Access Map.Some of the access areas are identified with \"open fields\" in their name and they are funded with a grant from the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through the Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Incentive Program. A daily hunting permit is required on all Open Fields Access Area.
