Service Description: Oregon Conservation Strategy Ecoregions, developed and released by ODFW, September, 2015. All ecoregions except the Nearshore ecoregion are provided from Oregon Biodiversity Information Center (ORBIC) March, 2010 ecoregion dataset, which were based on US EPA Level III Ecoregions. All Oregon Ecoregions modify the US EPA Level III Ecoregions and are clipped to jurisdictional borders of Oregon. The Nearshore ecoregion, and Coast Range/Nearshore boundary were provided from the Oregon State Boundary dataset, found on Oregon GEO Spatial Data Library (credit provided to BLM. Juristidictional boundaries were used to ensure all of Oregon is divided into appropriate ecoregions, as defined in the revised Oregon Conservation Strategy. The Coast Range/Nearshore boundary (land/water interface) represents the boundary of these ecoregions at a coarse scale, and is not intended to provide specific boundary of the Nearshore ecoregion, which includes some portions of estuaries and the entire inter-tidal, "splash" zone.
