Service Description: The management designations data layer shows the levels of management importance to sage-grouse. The highest importance management designations depict areas in core habitat (also called Priority Areas for Conservation (PACs)) within close proximity to a lek (sage-grouse breeding area). This layer incorporates core habitat (PAC) maps, low density maps, areas near known occupied leks, and mapped general habitat. The compensatory mitigation obligation for development projects will be highest in areas mapped as high importance, and particularly in core areas (PACs).
