Service Description: Vegetation data developed by the Institute for Natural Resources form the backbone of this dataset. Percent cover of sagebrush, annual invasive grasses, perennial grasses and tree cover are used to place each pixel in an 'Ecological State'. These 'States' are valued from 0 - 1, with 1 representing excellent sagebrush habitat. The value of each pixel may then be adjusted, up or down, depending on several factors such as proximity to existing development, whether the pixel falls within sage-grouse 'Core Areas', etc. In this final version, pixel values range from 0 - 1.5.

Subject: These data represent an estimate of the relative habitat value of each 30m pixel, per guidelines associated with ODFW's sage-grouse management plan. They will be used to help encourage development projects into areas of low quality sage-grouse habita
