This dataset depicts greater sage-grouse management designations for use in the Sage-Grouse Habitat Quantification Tool (HQT), and Development Siting Tool (DST), updated with 2018 lek data. The data set was created by combining a 4 mile buffer around 2018 Occupied and Occupied Pending leks, ODFW Core Areas, and ODFW Low Density Areas using the Union and Dissolve tools in ArcGIS 10.4.1. This process developed a 5 classification system: Habitat within 4 miles of a lek outside Core or Low Density habitat (Score = 0.25); Low Density habitat >4 miles from a lek (Score = 0.5); Low Density habitat within 4 miles of a lek (Score = 0.75); Core habitat > 4 miles from a lek (Score = 0.75); Core habitat within 4 miles of a lek (Score = 1.0). |
